MACMILLAN’S ONLINE SHOP SCOOPS TOP INDUSTRY AWARD
Macmillan Cancer Support’s online shop has come out on top at the prestigious 2012
ECMOD awards, by scooping the coveted gong for Best Website Redesign.
This success is the result of an extensive overhaul and redesign of Macmillan’s online
shop that took place in 2011 with the support of Bostock and Pollitt, who designed the
new site, and Prism DM who built it and assisted with warehousing and orders.
The ECMOD awards celebrate business excellence for organisations engaged in direct-
to-customer retail, across traditional and emerging channels. With a very impressive list
of nominees in the category, Macmillan’s award winning shop was up against some of
the most successful retailers in the UK.
Lynda Thomas, Macmillan’s Director of Fundraising, says, ‘We’re all absolutely delighted
to have won this prestigious award. The better our online shop is, the more people who’ll
use it and the more money we’ll raise to help people affected by cancer. Having our hard
work recognised is wonderful and really goes to show that we strive for excellence in
everything we do here at Macmillan.’
