£17 could help a member of the Cancer Information and Support team on our Macmillan Support Line deal with a call or web enquiry. They could help someone find services relevant to their needs, such as checking a lump that’s been worrying them, give a husband a chance to cry over his wife’s cancer diagnosis if he doesn’t want to worry her, or give advice on what will help a person’s extreme fatigue when they’ve still got a house to run, despite having cancer.
'It didn’t hit me until after about 4/6 weeks later. I needed to talk to someone, so I called Macmillan and cried. It was so nice to speak to someone who did not judge me.' Mohammad, diagnosed with prostate cancer |
